Unidentified Flying Objectives · National Space Day
Six signals, one flagship day. Astro Alliance's annual space-tech showdown touches down at MANIT Bhopal on 23 August 2026 — decode the case files below and claim your slot.
Mission Briefing
Parikalp is Astro Alliance's flagship National Space Day event at MANIT Bhopal — the official Astronomy and Space Tech Society of an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Across one week in August, six independent case files run in parallel: teams fabricate and launch water rockets, wrangle noisy planetary datasets to save a stranded 2084 shuttle, architect civilizations around a spinning black hole, hunt the night sky for the perfect frame, face off in a space-tech debate, and go head-to-head in a live astronomy quiz.
Every case closes on the same coordinates — 23 August 2026, MANIT Bhopal — the day the results transmit.
Six transmissions currently open for registration. Review the brief, check your eligibility, and access the full rulebook.

Shuttle PARIKALP is trapped in a mystery exoplanet's orbit with corrupted sensor data. Build a Python pipeline to clean the data, reconstruct planetary features and predict the exact escape velocity.
Interstellar Engineering Ideathon

Open call for photographers of every level — DSLR or smartphone — to submit original shots of the night sky. Winning frames feature on StarLab's Instagram.
School Astronomy Quiz
A two-round astronomy & astrophysics quiz for school students — a written eliminator followed by a live on-stage finale.
Registration is coordinated by a school POC/teacher on behalf of the team — not individual student sign-up.
